Sweat It Out is an exhibition that pairs the work of Abi Hodson and Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky in B7’s B2 space. Sweaty limbs and salty tongues wrestle with themes of grief, ritual and intimacy in a multimedia installation.
« Sweat It Out » est une exposition qui met en parallèle les œuvres d’Abi Hodson et de Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky dans l’espace B2 du B7. Des corps en sueur et des langues salées abordent les thèmes du deuil, du rituel et de l’intimité au sein d’une installation multimédia.
We are an interprovincial artistic duo project composed of emerging multidisciplinary artists Abi Hodson (Kjipuktuk/Halifax) and Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky (Mooniyang/Tiohtià:ke/Montréal). Hodson and Caron-Pawlowsky research queer and trans intimacies through installation, image, and performance. They focus on the spaces between the human body and the more-than-human/non-human through poetics and play, oscillating between expressing diaristic, personal experience and scientific investigations. With distinct and complimentary creative practices, Hodson and Caron-Pawlowsky self-curate their work beyond the white cube to invite broad audiences into the sites of connection and curiosity.
